Dan Tischler, Head Coach

Dan Tischler became the second Head Coach in program history on August 1, 2025.

The New York native spent the last two seasons on the staff of Division I Boston College as an Assistant Coach, where he helped the Eagles win 50 games over the past two campaigns. Tischler implemented the offensive philosophy for Boston College and worked with the infielders to post a .978 field percentage in 53 games.

Prior to his stint at BC, Tischler emerged as one of the finest coaching prospects in college baseball after an 11-year stretch at Columbia University. Tischler helped the Lions build an offensive juggernaut in New York City that helped fuel the most successful stretch in school history during his tenure at Columbia. The Lions boasted a 134-71 record in the Ivy League, while winning five league titles and making five NCAA Tournament appearances. During his time with Columbia, the squad became the first squad in Ivy League history to capture the number three seed in the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back seasons (2014 & 2015) and earned the number three seed again following the 2022 regular slate. The Lions dominated the league with records of 16-4 in 2013, 15-5 in 2014, 16-4 in 2015 and 17-4 in 2022. In January of 2019, Tischler was named Associate Head Coach with Columbia and continued to help the program set school records in home runs, total bases, hits, runs scored and doubles, while leading the Ivy in batting average, hits, doubles, homers, walks and stolen bases from 2013-2022 The Lions' defense was stellar in the Ivy as well under Tischler's tutelage, recording team fielding marks of .983 in 2013, .975 in 2015 and .982 in 2018 during conference play, while posting a team-record figure of .975 for the balance of the season in 2014. In addition, Columbia turned 48 double plays to establish a new program standard in 2015. Under his watch, the Lions produced seven All-Region honorees, 24 All-Conference recipients, a pair of Ivy League Players of the Year, and saw seven players drafted in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft. Columbia won 28 or more games on four occasions, including a school-record win mark of 34 in 2015. Tischler's impact did not go unnoticed at the prestigious institution, being named an "Assistant We Would Hire" by D1baseball.com in 2022.

Tischler's success at Columbia was foreshadowed at another Ivy League institution as well. In two seasons with Cornell University, the Big Red captured the league crown in 2012 for the first time since 1976. Cornell racked up a school-record 31 victories, while he patrolled the first base coaching box. The Big Red became more aggressive on the basepaths, nearly doubling the previous season's total of 28 stolen bases to 55 during Tischler's final campaign at the school. His success in Ithaca, mirrored what the staff at Swarthmore College was able to put together with him in the dugout in the previous two seasons. Tischler spent those two years as the club's pitching coach and helped the Garnet achieve their first 20-win season since 1985, while earning a Centennial Conference Tournament berth for the first time in program annals. During his two-year tenure, Swarthmore doubled its victory total, while improving its performance on the mound in multiple categories.

Tischler was a four-year standout on the diamond as well, being named Second Team All-Region and First Team All-Conference during a four-year playing career with Franklin & Marshall College. A Captain for F&M, ended his time as the program's career leader with 10 saves. Tischler graduated Cum Laude from the Lancaster, Pa. school with a degree in History in 2008 and later added a Master of Education degree in 2012 at Columbia.

Patrick Santorella, Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator

Santorella joins the Wheaton Baseball coaching staff after completing a four-year career with the Lyons this past spring.

The former outfielder worked hard to earn playing time as a starter in 2021 and was part of a Lyons squad that won the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference Championship as well as the New England Regional title. The Scituate, Mass. native was a staple in the Wheaton lineup and hit safely in every game of the team's College World Series run, going 5-11 with two doubles, a pair of runs scored and a walk for the sixth-ranked Lyons.

In his first season in the dugout as a coach, Santorella will assist with the Wheaton hitters and will also work with the staff to hone the team's infield and outfield skills.

Santorella graduated with a degree in Business Management, earning multiple Dean's List honors and the Student-Athlete Grade Point Average Award at Wheaton.

Pete Pasquarosa, Assistant Coach/Infield Instructor

Pete Pasquarosa, who has been involved in coaching for more than two decades, will return for his 11th season on the Wheaton staff in 2020-21. Pasquarosa is responsible for the development of all infielders and outfielders on the club in addition to assisting with recruiting. Most recently (January 2015), Pasquarosa spoke at the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) on the topic of "Improved Infield Play Through Repetition."

Since 2004, Pasquarosa has served as an assistant coach with the Harwich Mariners of the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) after coaching in 1991 with the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox.

From 2007-09, Pasquarosa was an assistant coach at New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) counterpart Babson College, which he helped win the league tournament title and qualify for the NCAA Tournament in 2009. During the prior two springs, Pasquarosa was an assistant coach at Division I Boston College, which set a school record with 37 wins his first year.

Between 1988 and 2004, Pasquarosa worked with the baseball program at nearby Franklin High School, including heading the varsity team for the final 13 years of that stint. Pasquarosa was also the school's athletic director from 1992-2001. In 2000, he was honored as an American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) regional coach of the year and earned a top coaching accolade from the Boston Globe. Two years later, Pasquarosa was lauded at Fenway Park for earning a statewide sportsmanship award.

Pasquarosa served as the head instructor for the Franklin-based Tri-Valley Baseball camps from 1988-2003 and was the director of baseball clinics at Boston College in 2005 and 2006. He also spent time as a Bay State Games coach from 1994-2003. Beyond coaching, Pasquarosa has produced articles that have run in coaching and physical education publications while also speaking at major coaching functions.

After earning an associate's degree from Dean College in 1974, Pasquarosa played two years for Georgia Southern University, graduating with a degree in health and physical education in 1978. He received a master's degree in education from Salem State College in 2007.

Pasquarosa is a member of the Massachusetts Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
